About Millennia Consort - 

The Millennia Consort, California’s premiere "organ plus" ensemble, presents a unique concert experience with world-class musicians. 

We commission, perform and record exciting and appealing new music in addition to arrangements of music spanning the millennia. 

Millennia Consort presents the best of the new and the best of the old. 

Millennia Consort is comprised of Steve O'Connor and  Miles McAllister, trumpet; Mike McCoy, French horn; Sean Reusch, trombone; and Scott Sutherland, tuba, Alison J. Luedecke, organ and Beverly Reese Dorcy, percussion.

Meet the Musicians - 

Originally from Los Angeles, Steve O'Connor is a trumpet player and founding member of the Presidio Brass. He has performed with the Los Angeles and London Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Pacific and San Diego Symphonies. Recently he appeared on both the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the Ellen DeGeneres Show performing with Kanye West. Ray was Assistant Principal Trumpet of the Orquesta Sinfonica de Tenerife for 5 years in the Canary Islands, Spain. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from CSU Long Beach and a Masters Degree from UCLA.

Miles McAllister is a Southern California-based performer and educator. Miles is a member of the Santa Barbara Symphony and a frequent substitute player in the new Disneyland Band at the Disneyland Resort. He has also performed with the Riverside Philharmonic, California Philharmonic, New West Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony as well as San Diego Symphony and San Diego Pops Orchestra. In addition, Miles has shared the stage with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy playing lead trumpet. Miles earned his Master of Music in Trumpet Performance at California State University Fullerton, studying under Barry Perkins. He graduated from the University of Redlands in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance where he studied with Dr. David Scott. 

Mike McCoy, a San Diego native, has been the horn player for the Presidio Brass since its inception in 2006. In addition to Presidio Brass, he holds the position of 4th Horn with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. His horn playing has accompanied the likes of Frank Sinatra Jr., Pink Martini, Liza Minnelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Aretha Franklin, Dave Brubeck, Burt Bacharach, among many more. Mr. McCoy has performed with national touring Broadway shows, including “The Lion King”, “Tommy” and “Wicked.” He is an active commercial recording artist including the movies soundtracks to "Mr. Jones", “Jackson”, and “Arn 2 - The Knights Templar”, as well as the video game soundtracks of "Diablo 3", "Bionic Commando Revived", and the original “Everquest”. 
 
When not performing, he enjoys educating, having been an adjudicator for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association and was featured on the horn demonstration videos for the series "Tradition of Excellence" from Kjos Music. Mike studied at the San Diego School for the Creative and Performing Arts, followed by San Diego State University and the Boston Conservatory of Music.

Trombonist Sean Reusch, originally from Toms River, NJ, is a founding member of the Presidio Brass. He has performed with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles Opera, Pacific Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, New West Symphony, Redlands Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony, and the Riverside Symphony. He is currently on faculty at UCSD, Palomar College, and Mira Costa College. Sean holds a Master of Music Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and is currently completing a doctorate from UCLA. 


A native of Los Angeles, Scott Sutherland is the tubist, pianist and primary music arranger for the Presidio Brass. He is also a member of the Redlands Symphony, the Riverside County Philharmonic and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Opera, San Diego Chamber Orchestra and the New West, Long Beach and San Diego Symphonies. From 2005-2007, he was principal tuba of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. As a soloist, he has been featured with the San Diego Symphony, Riverside County Philharmonic, Burbank Philharmonic and the Idyllwild Arts Symphony Orchestra. Scott has played on motion picture and video game soundtracks, including the movie Pearl Harbor and has appeared with such artists as John Williams, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, and Jerry Goldsmith. Scott is also active as a composer and arranger, with performances by the Pacific Symphony, Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra in Mexico, USC Elf Jazz Ensemble and San Diego Winds.
 
As an educator, Scott is on faculty at the University of Redlands, Palomar College and the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. He was a brass pedagogy teaching assistant while attending UCLA and spent a year as a certificated school band/orchestra director for the Pasadena Unified School District. Scott earned his Bachelor of Music degree from USC, a Master of Music degree from UCLA and has studied with Tommy Johnson, Jim Self, Norm Pearson and Doug Tornquist.

Alison Luedecke, organist and founder of the Millennia Consort, hails from Galveston, Texas. She is active across the US as a solo concert organist and has played in Canada, Mexico and Germany. She has been heard numerous times on the nationally syndicated radio show Pipedreams. As an ensemble musician she has performed with the Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Symphony Silicon Valley, and other chamber ensembles and symphonies. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with her organ, harpsichord and piano students. She earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music as a student of David Craighead. Alison is Organist at St. James by the Sea Episcopal CHurch La Jolla, CA.

Beverly Reese Dorcy, a Minnesota native, is an active freelance timpanist and percussionist in both the San Diego and San Francisco Bay areas, as well as performing with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Idaho. She has performed with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, San Diego Chamber Orchestra, California Symphony and Marin Symphony. Prior to moving to California, Ms. Dorcy worked in the Seattle area as principal percussionist with the Bellevue Philharmonic and principal timpanist with the Tacoma Opera. Recording credits include ‘Kate and Leopold’ and several CDs with the Seattle Men's Chorus. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Percussion Performance.
